Global Master of Business Administration (MBA) Degree by University Of London Launches In Singapore

 
 
New Global MBA programme offers transformational learning experience that will develop skills and knowledge into world-class business acumen
 
SINGAPORE - - 16 August 2018 - The University of London (UOL) launches its Global Master of Business Administration (MBA) programme delivered by Amity Global Institute in Singapore this evening, 16th August at the Empire Sky Lounge of Fifty Raffles Place.
 
The event was graced by Guest-of-Honour Acting High Commissioner, Mrs Alexandra McKenzie. Academic direction for the MBA is provided by Queen Mary University of London (QMUL), an institution that prioritises the integration of its teaching and research.
 
This diverse MBA programme offers five specialist areas: accountancy, entrepreneurship & innovation, finance, law, and leadership. Students undertaking face-to-face tutor support at Amity Global Institute can also choose to work towards a specialist MBA, which will be an attractive asset for career advancement across key sectors. Students will gain access to learning resources and study guides for each module via UOL's Virtual Learning Environment. Tutors introduce the modules, provide guidance on assessments, respond to queries, monitor discussions and provide interventions at key points of study.
 
Dr Dimitrios Koufopolous, Global MBA Programme Director, University of London said of the new programme, "We are happy to be launching this new programme in Singapore in collaboration with Amity Global Institute. Our students based in Singapore will gain a prestigious qualification by becoming part of our global network of influential individuals and can look forward to joining our community of approximately 60,000 alumni in Singapore upon graduation.

Support for the Development of Women Leadership Roles
 
2018 marks 150 years since the University of London introduced its 'Special Examinations for Women', which ten years later, in 1878, led to the opening up of full degrees for women. The University of London was the first in the UK to do so in both instances.
 
To celebrate these trailblazing achievements as part of the University of London's Leading Women campaign, the university is offering 150 scholarships to women from anywhere in the world who wish to study the Global MBA by distance learning. The scholarship covers 40% off all fees payable for the Global MBA, to the University of London.
 
Speaking at the launch event, Acting High Commissioner of the British High Commission, Mrs Alexandra McKenzie said, "I am delighted to witness the launch of UOL's new Global MBA programme this evening. The UK government is absolutely committed to achieving gender equality at home and worldwide, and creating education opportunities for women and girls. This is not only the right thing to do, it's the only way to ensure economic development, and create stable, prosperous societies."
 
The Global MBA programme is also accredited by Chartered Management Institute (CMI) and Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA).Students will have the chance to gain Chartered Manager status, and emerge with qualifications that are highly valued by employers.
 
Queen Mary University of London (QMUL) is one of the University of London's largest colleges. A member of the Russell Group, it has over 20,000 students from more than 150 countries. In the most recent national assessment of the quality of research (REF 2014), QMUL was placed ninth in the UK. (roc).
